Bayonets of the World complete edition Kiesling: “Bayonets of the World” – I suggest buying the complete edition, not earlier edition in four volumes. Comprehensive catalogue, often mentioned  by othe authors. The bayonets are grouped by country of origin.
Sztyki Mira A.H.Kulinskij: “Shtyki Mira” which means “Bayonets of the World”. In certain aspects the publication is better than Kiesling. More models depicted, more detailed descriptions.
Bagnety T.Królikiewicz: “Bagnety” – interesting Polish book, socket bayonets are widely covered.
Bagnet wojskowy Maciej Prószyński: Bagnet wojskowy. Polish book about bayonets and the passion of collecting them. To be sincere, the only merit of it is that it is in Polish (for Polish collectors).
Bagnet Wojska Polskiego 1914-1999 Krzysztof Szczegłow: Bagnet Wojska Polskiego 1914-1999. This 3 volume edition is worth th money. It comprehensively covers the history of Polish bayonets and vast number of foreign ones that had been tried by Polish army.
British Military Bayonets from 1700 to 1945 R J Wilkinson Latham: British Military Bayonets from 1700 to 1945. The author is a mamber of Wilkinson family which produced bayonets for decades. But the book is not a comprehensive collector’s source, just an addition from specific point of view.
British & Commonwealth bayonets Ian D. Skennerton: British & Commonwealth bayonets. Absolutely the one and only bayonet on British bayonets. Complete reference, great historic work.
Collecting bayonets J.A.Maddox: “Collecting bayonets” – Colorful and nicely printed book, much more then just a bayonet catalogue. Written by one of the recognized collectors, the subject is covered from his subjective, experienced point of view – I like this attitude. Bayonets are grouped by type (socket, T-blade, yatagan and so on).
The American bayonet 1776-1964 Albert N.Hardin Jr. :The American bayonet 1776-1964 Absolutely the one and only position on American bayonets- must have
ABC Atlas de la baionette de collection Jean-Pierre Vial: “Atlas de la baionette de collection” – The richest bayonet catalogue to day with a great amount of good illustrations. Bayonets are listed according to total length, which is a good idea and makes searching easy. The descriptions are reach, corresponding numbers in Kiesling and other catalogues are given. Author also makes some kind of ranking of rarity but his opinions in this respect are disputable. Unfortunately the frogs are almoist completely omitted which is a pity. Absolutely “must have” despite little exotic language;)
Japanese Bayonets Japanese Bayonets:The Definitive Work on Japanese Bayonets 1870 to the Present. Larry Johnson. Best information source about Japanese bayonets, comprehensive and compound. Numerous variants of Arisakas are no mystery anymore….
Bayonets of Japan Bayonets of Japan by Raymond C. Labar is a nice development based on Larry Johnson work. It has a bit greater scope, covers Japanese bayonets rewords and adaptations. The book is full of colour great quality illustrations.
The Collectors Book of German Bayonets 1680-1945 Roy Williams: The Collectors Book of German Bayonets 1680-1945. Great books. First volume covers models till the end of WWI, the second consecutive years and ersatz bayonets. Modern edition with great amount of illustrations. The subject is covered in 100%. The author published the book by himself and sells himself – it is easy to obtain handwritten dedication.
Classic position on German bayonets written by the great collector.
German sidearms and bayonets 1740-1945 Klaus Lubbe: German sidearms and bayonets 1740-1945.  Classic book on German bayonets, must have. What’s interesting, author placed there prices of all bayonets listed – not real nowdays, but that’s some hint on bayonets value.
German Ersatz bayonets of WWI Christian Mery: German Ersatz bayonets of WWI. Great, comprehensive book on all German bayonets, it refers to classic Carter’s position, but is great development. Nicely illustrated. Original French edition is hard cover, English edition is “economy” version.
Faschinenmesser Wolfgang Peter-Michel: Faschinenmesser. Interesting book, but covering the subject only partially.
Bayonet Belt Frogs Anthony Carter: Bayonet Belt Frogs – 3 volumes. Classic position, no other covers the subject of frogs more comprehensively.
Claude Bera: Bayonets of the First World War. Nicely printed position but rather for novice collectors.
Les baionnettes alemagnes (1830-1898) Christian Mery: Les baionnettes alemagnes (1830-1898) – great historical and editorias value, great illustrations. The author, that You can count on. Unfortunately in french.
The German bayonet 1898-1945 Christian Mery: The German bayonet 1898-1945 – perfect continuation of the previous title, this time in English.
Ersatz bayonets in Polish Army during WWII Maciej Prószyński, Krzysztof Szczegłow: Ersatz bayonets in Polish Army during WWII. The scope of the book is much wider then the title suggests. Because Polish Army used evry bayonet from everywhere… The authors do decent job.
Bagnety Krajów Skandynawskich. Janusz Jarosławski : Bagnety Krajów Skandynawskich. Best book in the author’s career. Probably because it was ready on Per Holmback’s page. Just translate and print.
Military Swords of Japan 1868-1945 Richard Fuller and Ron Gregory: Military Swords of Japan 1868-1945. Clear, systematic and well illustrated on rather introductory level – just for bayonet collector.
A.H. Kuliński: Bagnety Świata. Very good comprehensive book. Unfortunately in russian. Illustrations are black and white.
Baionette Italiane 1814-2017 Cesare Calamandrei: Baionette Italiane 1814-2017. Very nice book, native authors always a lot to common knowledge on the subject. Only You have to read it with google translator.
Die Hand -und Faustfeuerwaffen der habsburgischen Heere Erich Gabriel: Die Hand -und Faustfeuerwaffen der habsburgischen Heere.: The book I like very much. Great historical work, firearms and edgedweapons, nice illustrations. A few bayos You will not see anywhere else.
Chladne zbrane o habsburske monarchii Jan Sach, Petr Moudry: Chladne zbrane o habsburske monarchii. Great authors and good reference boo, reflection of longlasting collecting tradition of author’s country. In native language, English and German.
Bayonets - Habsburg monarchy 1683-1918 Jan Smid, Petr Moudry: Bayonets – Habsburg monarchy 1683-1918. : Again great authors cover the subject almost from native point of view.
John Walter: The sword and bayonets makers of Imperial Germany 1871-1918.: The best book focused strictly on the subject, great help for collector.
Roy Williams: A collectors guide to German bayonet belt frogs 1825-1945. Well known and respected author, a lot of valuable work. An addition to his previious books, but not so monumental.

Militargewehre und Pistolen der deutschen Staaten 1800-1870 Hens-Dieter Gotz: Militargewehre und Pistolen der deutschen Staaten 1800-1870. Great book, covers the subject completely, good illustrations, absolutely best reference on the subject. Though it roughly pertains to bayonet collecting
From Musket to Metallic Cartridge From Musket to Metallic Cartridge. Great book, practical attitude to 19th century blackpowder guns. Practical remarks how to service and shoot them. Quite lot of info about kammerladers and rolling blocks.Must have for blackpowder shooter, great add-on for bayonet collector
Les baionnettes a douille militaires Franceises  Les baionnettes a douille militaires Franceises :Great reference for those digging the details, that are irrelevant to the most;)
British Military Swords 1760-1912 The regulation Patterns.  British Military Swords 1760-1912 The regulation Patterns.  Sold as booklet it is quite great reference full of color illustration and just as much text as needed. Paperback, but really great for book me.
British 18th&19th Century Naval Cutlasses Harvey J.S.Withers: British 18th&19th Century Naval Cutlasses. Similarily valuable reference as the book mentionet above – mine is quite worn out know.

The author slowly goes toward perfection over the years
Les sabres, epees et poignards-baionnettes militaires Francais Les sabres, epees et poignards-baionnettes militaires Francais : Yet another great work by Christian Mery and Pierre Renoux. Interesting work focusing mainly mainly on rare French bayonets – generally the subject was waiting this work;)
Well know and respected author covers the subject as expected.

Schweitzer Seitengewehre eidg. Ordonnanzen 1851-1990.

Ernst Grenacher: Schweitzer Seitengewehre eidg. Ordonnanzen 1851-1990. Absolutely exclusive edition, best quality print, two volumes in cartoon box. Covers the subject in 200%. Things I’ve never seen, things I have and nobody could ever tell me about them – it is all here. But “ordnung” is here – nothing before 1851, nothing about swords. But the price is the highest I’d ever paid for a book;)
