Description
1861 Plymouth/Whitneyville designed by Dahlgren for marine use. Unusual in design huge bowie. Copied for many years in Japan, India and USA. Those copies seen recently have slightly courved blade, otherwise they are quite good manufacture. Some originals were resold as military surplus to civil market by Bannerman – maybe it is one of them. Original frog.
