This bayonet has very beautiful wooden grips made of curledbirchwood or apple wood.? They were fixed with flat polished screws, not rivets like in M27. It came to me in this smooth blued scabbard, that was issued since 1935. The sole manufacturer of this bayonets was Hackman.? They have “S” inspection stamp on the crossguard. Earlier M28 for Civil Guard did not have oiling whole in the pommel and was issued with ribbed scabbard painted green. The handle was blued.
