The last cavalry saber in USA cavalry history. Heavy, only to be mounted at saddle, for pointing, not cutting. Probably had never seen battle. Can be compared to English M1908 cavalry sword – they are similar, as one can see one my pictures. The scabbard is made of wood covered with some kind of canvas.
