An excellent condition, original and very rare British 1855 Volunteer Lancaster sword bayonet. The pommel, crossguard and tang have no pitting. The leather grips are mint. The blade is near mint. No scabbard. Only the pommel has markings. This bayonet was also fitted to Enfield Short Sea Service. Last pictures show it in comparison with typical volunteer Lancaster. The shape of the pommel is different.
